No matter how you turn them, 24 hours a day is all you will ever have.
Given the fact that you are a 360 leader that seeks to align spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, personal, professional, relational, financial, leadership, and impact priorities, how you invest your 24 hours is critical to your work-life success.
In today's newsletter, I share five simple mobile apps to help you manage your time, productivity, schedule, and social media for incredible results at work and in life.
I share plenty more in the videos below. Feel free to watch, share, and subscribe to Modesta Mahiga YouTube Channel for related content.
Now onto the first, to help you manage your time:
The Clock App? Yup! The good ol' Clock App.
There are so many things you can do with the Clock App to get your life back. Here are two:
1.Set Labeled Alarms Before Activity. For example, Set a 12pm alarm each Thursday called "Write Friday's Newsletter at 1 pm".
Every Thursday at 12 pm you will finish off what you are doing so that you can be free to transition to Write Friday's Newsletter at 1 pm. That way, you don't forget the appointment, nor do you get surprised when an alarm set at the start time catches you off guard as you scramble to finish something else.
2.Add City on World Clock.
How much time do you waste trying to figure out time zones so that you can keep appointments with people across the world?
Simply add the cities and countries you need to keep track of, for example, Tokyo, Japan, and manage your time so that you can connect with your counterparts at appointed times.
The thing about these apps is that if you are not mindful, they can really waste your time.
The Screen Time App is a genius productivity governor. Here are two things you can do with it.
1.Limit Specific Apps
Addicted to scrolling on the gram? the Screen Time App helps you restrict your time on specific apps. It alerts you well before time so that you can wind up what you are doing before it rudely and promptly shuts down on you :-D
Want to get much-needed family and or snooze time? The Down Time feature on Screen Time signals when it's time to slow down and turn in for the night by muting all notifications, sounds, and haptics, from the time you want to rest until the time you want it to let the traffic in the next day.
As the name suggests, Acuity Scheduling helps you schedule your 24 hours.
These are two features that makes this an incredible scheduling app for busy leaders.
1.Organize By Meeting Time
Acuity Scheduling allows you to create meeting and or appointment types that you can make available at only specific times of the day and days of the week.
This structures you to control what you are available for so that you can focus on prioritized activities and appointments and make less time, or allocate your less productive time, for the rest. Some days or times of day can be completely blocked from appointments.
2.Shareable 3rd Party Scheduling Link
Don't you find it annoying when have to go back and forth trying to align calendars with others?
Acuity Scheduling gives you the flexibility to grant access to as many or as few appointment types on your calendar to others, by sharing a unique link they can use to book an appointment at their convenience.
“Productivity isn't about being a workhorse. Keeping busy or burning the midnight oil... It's more about priorities, planning, and fiercely protecting your time.”
Juggling the demands of leading people and managing projects come with your leadership package.
The more people and projects you have, the more you need the capabilities to be able to see, track, and collaborate to move people and projects forward.
Four years ago, growing team and client engagements made me realize that I needed a comprehensive platform to help me do just that remotely.
Monday.com was my answer. Here are two Monday.com features that could help improve your and your teams' productivity, performance, and professional credibility:
Monday.com helps you invite, assign, message, and share documents and links with collaborators in real-time.
Choose one or several recipients on projects, and efficiently connect without the back and forth between voice and video calls, meetings, messaging, emails, and the dreaded peering-over-desk to get a status update.
Monday.com helps you track progress and flag bottlenecks.
View function-specific team (or client) projects, owners, monthly tasks, timelines, progress status, due dates, priorities, sales, customer satisfaction, platform integrations, you name it.
You can start and end each day with a clear and color-coded synopsis of what and who is Done, Working On It, or Stuck. This gives you the agility to timely, specifically, and appropriately identify and address what is needed to advance in time and on budget.
We are on so many different social media platforms daily. If you simply can't (or won't) make the time to keep up with it all, you will love Hootsuite.
Here are two reasons why:
1.Synchronized & Scheduled Posting
With Hootsuite, you can prepare one post and send it across all your social media accounts with one click.
If you are on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, to name a few, you will be glad you have the option to do one and be done, saving you time from multiple posting, and the real danger of going into one of the platforms and only resurfacing for air one hour later. I should know.
Better still, you can create your content for an entire week or more and schedule Hootsuite to post on the days and times you choose to, just as if you were doing it in real-time. Take that you monitoring algorithms!
Are audience reach and engagement important metrics for you and your business? Hootsuite consolidates the analytics and reports across your platforms to show you what's working, what's not, and how you can tweak your approach for better results.
